AboutMy name is Barbara Akinmade. I was born in a small town in Northern Ireland, called Banbridge. I left Ireland when I was twenty one to come to America. I have resided in Maryland for thirty years, twenty three of them in Montgomery Village. I am the proud mother of three wonderful children.

Why? did I get into the daycare business??? My oldest child was about two and we had a really bad day care experience. I decided that moment I would change professions, I would become a child care provider. I vowed that I would make a difference in children's lives offering them a safe and nurturing environment. I wanted no parent to feel their trust violated like mine was. I have done my best over the years to provide quality childcare for all the children in my care and I love when they come back and visit me
