FAQsBelow are some basic questions and answers. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

Question:

What hours are you open?

Answer:

We operate between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. (can be flexible if needed)

Question:

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Answer:

Yes, we take care of your child's nutritional needs throughout the day. I am enrolled with the Montgomery County Public School Food Program, (this ensures that your child receives nutritious meals, they come out four times a year unannounced to observe what the children in my program are eating) Menus are written six weeks at a time and are submitted to MCPS food program for viewing. On approval these are the menus that I work from. They change twice a year from Autumn/Fall to Spring/Summer. Just as the fruits and vegetables change so does my menus.

Question:

What if my child is allergic to certain types of foods?

Answer:

We require that parents alert us to allergies for inclusion in the child's medical file. Based on the prohibited foods, an allergy plan is created and the child's teachers are alerted. When a food on a child's prohibited list is served, the child receives a substitution.

Question:

Do the children go on any field trips?

Answer:

Yes, we occasionally take certain classes outside to enrich the learning experience. All field trip destinations are appropriate for small children. Our two large field trips are , In the summer we go to the splash park in Germantown (usually a couple of parents volunteer) In the fall we go to Larryland farm, we usually all go on a Saturday morning so that all parents can go with their children. The children just love showing off their friends to their parents outside of daycare.
